LDG CONTRACTS complete Preston’s ‘State of the Art’ Luxurious Student Accommodation.
Nov 2, 2016The transformation of the strategic 1.5 acre site has brought two new retail premises and the creation of a 244 bedroomed building, aimed at providing Boutique Hotel Style Accommodation to students at the nearby University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). The aesthetically pleasing shop and apartment complex, has been designed around open garden areas, whilst being conveniently located in the heart of the City.
Manchester’s architecture practice, Leach Rhode Walker, designed the plan which Portergate Properties appointed Eric Wright Construction to build this exciting new development in Preston. LDG Contracts was awarded the sub contract for all the Aluminium Façade and proudly worked alongside Eric Wright, in the regeneration project.
LDG Contracts, which is part of Lancashire Double Glazing Group Ltd designed, supplied and installed 80 Curtain wall screens, 330 windows and 10 Commercial Doors. The contract was in the region of 600k and was completed by the end of August, ready for the influx of new students. The design is a high quality, cutting edge scheme, which will provide 21st century quality accommodation, which is so needed in the City Centre of Preston.
LDG Contracts is proud to be involved with another prestigious Contract on such a prominent site, at the edge of the City Centre. We feel confident, this well-designed building, will play a big part in the regeneration in this part of the City for generations to come.
